1800 calore diet for a a moment ago diagnosed diabetic?
have talked next to a nutritionist--want some more insight from others. Have brought the blood sugar from over 400 to a (last check this am) to 87.

The nutritionist will be able to give you a menu of foods that you should put away and some that you should avoid. Try to follow that as closely as possible. Like the first answerer I am using the GI Diet. I went on it 6 months ago when I be dianosed and it has helped beside my control along with exercise. When I was dianosed I be put on meds but using the GI Diet and exercise I am now off meds, newly using diet and exercise control. The doctor is also very pleased that I have lost 80lbs (5 stone).
Forget something like calories, just use the GI Diet!;
