Answers:
first of all u r a type 2 diabeic unless u enjoy a rare LADA.diabetic neuropathy has several medications.latest doesn't tight-fisted the best medication.first line drugs would be amitryptiline and gabapentin.what is the drug in OXRATE.u call for to try the above drugs in full therapeutic doses.oxrate could be gabapentin.if it is so,later the optimal dose would be 1800 mg /d .consider changing to another if this does not work.pregaba is pregabalin and should be given indoses of 300-600 for good remedial benefit.must be started with 75mg and increased by 75 weekly.if ur neuropathy is localized to soles ,capsiacin local application,is a good nouns.u may try it.hope this info helps.dont change drugs near suboptimal doses otherwise u will end up without benefit beside any of the drugs.
If your nephew is an MD, why are you asking here? You must not trust him very much. Either track, you should be seeing and treated by an endocrinologist, just the same. You appear to be the sort that would trust a total stranger more than you would someone growing up in front of you.
You hold type 2 diabetes, just because you take insulin does not aim you have type 2. Take the medicine. Is your nephew prescribing it for you? It's not a accurate idea to have nearest and dearest members as your physician, also you should be seeing an endocrinologist, it sounds like you're not taking fastidiousness of yourself if you already have neuropathy after 8 years! Source(s): Family MD, mother of a diabetic
Type 1 diabetes is juvenile onset. If you have have diabetes for only 8 years and are 62 years old consequently you must have type 2 insulin dependent diabetes.
I am not a doctor. Try what your nephew says after let us know what happens.
