Answers:
Yeah...I take a small dose contained by the morning and a small dose at bedtime. Previously, it was just at bedtime, but the blood sugar level weren't the greatest.
yes, i am diabetic and on lantus own been on it for one year
I used to be. I just switched to the pump. With Lantus you are primarily being a manual pump. I'd do the lantus for a while consequently go to a pump.
I use Lantus everynight beforehand bed and it works well for me. I also used Humilin during the day and purloin Actos pills every morning. Each medication helps me keep my blood sugar below control.
HI, I thieve lantus and it works for me. My doctor told me to take it at might before I run to bed generally around the same time. I found that if you do pocket it at the same time everynight that it works very ably. If you have any questions email me at rainbow_monkey89(a)yahoo.com and pious luck with the lantus. My son was on Lantus for 6 months when first diagnosed with Diabetes within September 2005, and we found that he kept very good sugar level, when compared to other patients. Of course Lantus is quite expensive, but we thought that it was great fro him. He is presently on an insulin pump, which is absolutely great..
I am diabetic but I use METFORMIN 850MG TABLETS 3 TIMES A DAY
Yes I am on Lantus at bedtime. Is there something you required to know about it?
no
i take 70\30 novo .
2 times a day
I've never been on Lantus, but i'm gonna get some formerly I go away to college (My mum won't let me hold it). I'm on a pump, but a lot of people I know enjoy had excellent luck with it. Way better than the dated NPH that I took when I did shots. Its a once a day, slightly stinging insulin, right. Can't be injected with anything else. Take a short acting (Novolog, Humolog or Regular) near food. Source(s): I could use an extra ten points and some good will currercy!
Yes. I bear 50 Units of Lantus every night. Throughout the day I am on Regular Insulin on a sliding clamber. Lantus has helped me so that I don't involve to take so much of the R insulin during the day. I love it.
I used to take Lantus and it is notably recommended by doctors. they say its the newest and best long acting insulin on the souk it also lasts longer than NPH. I am on the insulin pump now going on two years and enjoy a lot more liberty than i used to. You should ask your Doctor just about it I feel soooo much better. if you cant though Lantus and Novalog are the best insulins out there, I know from experience I've be Diabetic for sixteen years and feel that those had the best results. best of luck to you!
When I was first diagnosed within January of this year, I was put on Lantus. Then my doctor switched me to a recently FDA approved insulin call Levemir. I take the insulin along with Byetta, GlucophageXR, and Actos.
The Lantus worked capably and the Levemir I have had slightly better results next to. Also, the Byetta has made my insulin dosage needs significantly lower.
hi im diabetic but on mixtard 30/70 and on diabex tablets extended release 500mg
My daughter used to use Lantus, it worked well for her. I think the best time is to clutch it (a) bedtime. She also used Novolog with each suppertime and snack. Now she is on the pump, so much better. Talk to your doctor or educator about it. Good Luck!
I use 37 units of Lantus up to that time bed. It works throughout a 24 hour period much as your body would do normally to control blood sugars between meal.
I have be on a pump for the past 4 years and have have great success with it. But, nearby have been times that I couldn't afford to buy my pump supplies so would downfall up off of it for a few days at a time (like now). When that happens, I use Lantus for the long acting and use Novolog for meal and snacks/my pump. I would much rather be on my pump (don't have to hold so many needle pricks a day--just one every 2-3 days a bit than several a day). But, the Lantus works well while I am off of it.
I also hold a friend who is on Lantus and it works well for her.
