What is the average age for a really nourishing diabetic to die?
I have a friend who is a really healthy type 1 diabetic and he is 30 years antediluvian, and his mom has diabetes but has lived awhile. So is it predictable for him to die anytime soon?

Even the long time diabetics can live to be 99 years old!! I niggardly the ones who have been guessing at their glucose level and insulin needs for most of their lives, not just the second 15 years since we got the personal glucometers.

Look at it this way - if he's healthy and looks after himself, he have a better chance of making it to old age next a non-diabetic who is obese, inactive and refuses to turn to the doctor.
Its not really diabetes that kills you but the complications that arise from having it for a long time, such as kidney/ heart disease, circulation problems, blindness etc. If he is higher than it then there is a especially good chance he can avoid or lessen them.
since its a friend you dont want them to.. most live to be 70 or 80 nowdays.. or more.. depends on when GOD say so right...
