Is it okay for diabetics to use Icy Hot patch?

Is it alright for healthy diabetics to use Icy Hot patches for muscle ache?
I asked my pharmacist about this same thing and she told me it's secure if you don't have neuropathy and can feel if things are burning you. Also she said to check in about 20 -30 minutes and see if my skin was getting red, and if so to pinch the patch off. If they do not own any issues with neuropathy, I do not see why not. But I'm not a doctor and this is the internet, so I'd ask your doc if you're not sure. I've had diabetes for a loooong time, and I use Icy Hot on incident.
