I guess I required the answer of how frequent carbs and sugars that a Type 2 diabetic should own surrounded by light of day?

I use blue agave sweetener for fruit juices and splenda for sugar but we are still working on getting my husband's diabetes stabilized and also does stress do anything to the blood sugar?

The amount of carbs varies, so you'll want to ask your doc for sure, but most people are recommended to hold on to their carbs at less than 30-35g per meal, next to one or two 15g snacks. Don't measure it by day, because if you hold 15g for breakfast, 15g for lunch, and then 80g for dinner, that dinner carb level will be approach too much for his body to handle in one sitting. Several small meal per day is the way to move about. Not sure how much carb the blue agave sweetener has, check the label. Just because something say it's "natural", "sugar-free", or "no sugar added", doesn't mean it doesn't have carbs. Fruit juice is purely like sugar, so that's not really cutting carbs. Are you aware that adjectives carbs are the issue (potatoes, bread, rice, corn...) not just sugar? Yes, stress can cause a bit of an increase surrounded by blood sugar, but if he's high more often than not, don't blame the stress.
Every individual is different in how many carbs they guzzle, it depends on you activity level, diet, and medication. I'd say most try to keep it around 30-45 per spread.
Have you been to an endocrinologist? An endocrine doctor is more educated on treating diabetes than a common practitioner. Most endocrinologists also have a nutritionist on staff, and have support groups, and hold diabetes classes. It's worth askinng for a referral.
Some of the answers are right I have type two and stay between 40 and 45 carbs a meal. you must revise how to count carbs.

After awhile you start to know what works or don't work for you.

Before meals you want to be in the 80 to 130 ring and a hour and a half to 2 hours after a meal you want it to be below 200.

I'm lucky I'm retired and pretty much stress free. also hold congestive heart failure and pretty much keep the right and stay away from people that will drive me nuts. .
Everyone is different. Some diabetics eat more carbohydrates consequently other and are fine. It depends on physical activity, metabolism, etc. Ask his doctor for a referral to a nutritionist.

And yes stress can increase blood sugar so if he has a great deal of stress he should work on that too.
In a months time I have brought my blood sugar from 1400 to a controlled 90 average. I own done this by eating 30 - 45 grams carbs per meal or 3 times a afternoon, with one 30 gram snack. More importantly I adhere strickly to portion control. I still drink rice, pasta, cakes, etc. I just keep under surveillance HOW MUCH of each I eat. My nuturitionist told me that my carbs allowance is for a 1800 calorie day after day diet. So not only do I watch and track carbs, I also spawn sure I don't go over 1800 calories per day, and similar to I said, I use portion control and still eat what I like. Also for a 2000 a morning calorie diet the carb allowance would be between 45 - 60 grams per meal and 30 - 45 for snack.
Everyones system is different. What might work for me, won't work for you. I would check with your doctor and see what he or she say. Stress will make your sugar go up. Be sure to communicate your doctor eveything.
