I am diabetic. Please agree to me know whether rice and idly/dosa are okay for me and if yes, what nearly amount.?

I am living in Bangalore where rice/idly/dosa are one and only available easily. Whether it will increase my blood glucose level. Or whether I enjoy to completely stop eating these items to keep sugar height in control.
Answers:
drink food that will release slowly glucose to blood. low GI food is best.make sure you eat on the brink carbohydrate and protein ie combination of rice and pulse at a time not in excess of300calories.with breach of 3-4hours so that blood sugar raise will be gradual.
You will requirement to consult with your doctor and regularly monitor your blood sugar levels both until that time and after meals in directive to determine what causes your blood sugar to spike. In most cases, foods that are high glycemic nouns, such as potatoes, white bread, and rice, will cause major spikes...but everyone's metabolism is different. The just way to know for sure is to experiment and test. Source(s): http://www.ehow.com/how_4834068_normal-b…
i dont think rice/idli/dosa will damage diabetics . so you can eat them regularly , but not all the time. chomp through wheat-based food at least once a day .
The best way to know how rice affects your glucose numbers is to pick a meal, check your glucose, eat a serving of the rice, then surrounded by 90 minutes to 2 hours check your glucose again. If it spikes your glucose more than 2.3 mmol you might want to eat less of it or not put away it at all.

Each of us being a terrifically unique individual has totally unique and individual reactions to any food, medication or exercise. So each of us must decide on the cause of our glucometer tests what we can eat or how much of it we can guzzle.

I cannot even look at rice or my glucose goes sky high. My friend almost lives on it. She have rice in her menus about twice a morning. We are both diabetic, but that is the way of this disease!
consult with your dr.

It is better to consult a physician in such matter.
its always better to be in motion for wheat diet but since you seem to have no choice you can bring rice/idly/dosa. you must be strict about the amount consumed. eat just one cup of rice or 2 dosa/idly a day Source(s): my dad's diabetic

never include fats in your diet.try not to include carbohydrates too.but if you cant live in need carbohydrates you can have them but alittle bit only.mostly you hhave a crucial dish made of carbohydrates like rice and a side dish like a vegetable curry.instead you can own beans and other complex carbohydrates as the main dish and other carbohydrates as the side dish.the complex carbohydrates swallow the
other carbohydrates and there wont be any effect of the carbohydrates you consumed.drink yoghurt it help
