Are in that any particular cures or remedies for diabetic neuropathy?
Answers:
A Medication called Neurontin or One called Lyrica are both great! Check beside your health care professional or specialist. These are lone meds NOT a cure, but boy do they make things better but they take a while to work Source(s): Been on both neurontin and lyrica at different times.
There is no cure for diabetic neuropathy, as it is caused by pull to the nerves. However, the pain can be lessened and progression of it can be slowed by keeping blood sugars as close to the normal band (80-110) as possible.
Remedies for the pain include a variety of medication. How well they work to ease niggle in each individual vary.
Some of these medications are Neurotin and antidepressants which modify the pain response contained by the brain, such as Cymbalta and Celexa (Citalopram is the generic), among others. Your doctor can recommend others used in pain administration..
(I use Citalopram, 20 mg per day).
You can also ask your doctor about Lyrica. I used it for awhile, and it really helped. I have to take it at night because it made me grain so drunk and goofy.
Although at hand is no cure as such, many people own successfully reversed their complications (at least to some degree) by keeping their blood sugars at the lower end of the scramble.
A good example of this is Dr Bernstein - you may not agree with his super low carb diet, but it appears to own worked for a lot of people. The model is that less carb means smaller number insulin which means you're less probable to suffer from lows and highs, so you can aim for tighter control. I personally don't be in motion as low carb as he suggests, but I DO find control a LOT easier if I keep my carbs controlled. For those insulin dependent diabetics who have trouble near their weight, taking less insulin can backing with that too (insulin is also a fat storage hormone).
Keeping those A1cs lower than 6 is a brilliant start... might seem like intricate work but with regular BG testing and diligent timing it gets easier - and becomes only a normal way of vivacity. Source(s): http://www.diabetes-normalsugars.com/boo…
