Type 1 diabetic pregnancy experiences anyone?

I have had Type 1 diabetes for, oh, 18 billion years or so. I'm 26. I'm hoping to sometime have kids, but I am really afraid. I don't want anything bad to ensue to me, or to an unborn baby, so I want to hear what it's like. Any relevant comment meet.

I completely understand what your going threw. I'm type one diabetic and have be for 10 years now and I wanted a child as capably but was worried about the affects. The best guidance I can give is keep track of your sugars, formulate sure they are stable. Make sure you stay to a well balanced forceful diet, and plently of relaxing exercises. Stay away from stressful situations because its been known to impose higher blood sugars and could also kill a unborn infant not to mention yourself. I kept to a good diet, exercise, and constantly checked my sugars, and the baby be born a healthy weight and size lacking any complications at all. And trust me for years I was worried. Make sure you plan things out formerly you try to become pregnant. And dont get discouraged if you dont get pregnant right away, theres a increased rate of infertility within diabetics. Took me 3 years. And also, keep checking up with your gyno one you become pregnant to product sure the baby is doing fine and no complications ;-) good luck! Source(s): experience, type one diabetic
