My BLOOD SUGAR FASTING REPORTS 112,after 12 Hours.Am i a diabetic?

There are various methods to determine blood glucose level. Some test give you accurate diagnosis of diabetes or pre-diabetes, while others will tell you how in good health you are managing your diabetes.

Fasting Blood Sugar Test:
Measures the blood sugar level after 8 hours fast or overnight. Normal fast blood glucose level is less than 100mg/dl. If your fast blood glucose level is from 100mg/dl to 125mg/dl then you will hold impaired blood glucose level also prearranged as Pre-Diabetes. If your blood glucose level is above 125mg/dl then your doctor will diagnose as a lenient of diabetes. To confirm the diagnosis, your doctor may repeat the fasting blood glucose test on any other morning. The glycemic index (GI) is a numerical system of measure how much of a rise in circulating blood sugar a carbohydrate triggers—the higher the number, the greater the blood sugar response. But there isn't profoundly of it, so watermelon's glycemic load is relatively low. A GL of 20 or more is high, a GL of 11 to 19 inclusive is environment, and a GL of 10 or less is low.

Different countries use different scales and you do not tell where you are so every answer on here is giving you bleak answers (guesses and assumptions) based on bad information on a poorly asked press.

Your best bet is to seek the advice of a trained medical professional, GO TO A DOCTOR!

I am a diabetic, and can update you that many factors come into play about your glucose testing.

When was the closing time you ate/drank something? What was it? (For example: if the last article you ate was a bowl of oatmeal, your blood glucose level can stay elevated for a few hours, whereas, if you ate a salad next to a vinegrette style dressing your glucose level will drop much quicker).

"Normal" glucose level can be anywhere from 60-100.

I would other suggest that you see your doctor and have a blood panel test done to be sure. But, even if you are borderline -- you can do something going on for it now, and maybe never become a diabetic at adjectives.

First of all, your blood sugar will vary depending on the time of year and what you've eaten. That being said, 115 is contained by the elevated ranges, sometimes called pre-diabetes, although that isn't a diagnosis. Here are the norms:

Fasting (8-12 hrs no food) - 70-100
2 hours after meal - 110-130
Random (taken at anytime) - less than 180

Diabetic levels are usually as follows:

Fasting -126+ on more than 2 occasion
2 hours after meals 150+
Random 200+

These were the numbers my doctor give me. Anything between those levels was considered elevated, and I be told to watch my diet and exercise. I didn't listen to my doctor, I thought I was honourable, but now I'm a 20 year old diabetic.... Listen to your doctor, and the individual way to know for sure if it's diabetes (because the levels could own been taken on a "low" day) You should get an A1c, which will trial an average over three months. Normal blood sugar ranges between 70 - 110.

If you were fasting and it be 112, then it's a little large. Talk to your doctor and a nutritionist. You need to exercise regularly (walk 30-minutes a day) and eat right.

You can control closely of diabetes by diet and exercise.
